Submissions are judged on the following criteria
To participate in the Teach-Discover-Treat competitions the main requirement is the use of freely available software tools. The development of models, tutorials and the associated workflows are required for your submission to be evaluated. The tutorials are rated on a scale of 1-10 for the following 4 criteria:

- Competition opens: November 4, 2013
- Submission system opens: January 6, 2014
- Competition closes: February 3, 2014
- Winners announced & drug discovery efforts start: March 3, 2014
- Awardee presentations at the San Francisco ACS meeting (Fall 2014)

Scientific content
- What is the quality of the underlying science?
- Is the tutorial relevant to drug discovery?
- Are the objectives of the tutorial clearly defined?
- Does the tutorial provide a logical workflow?
- Does the tutorial provide sufficient background?
- Will the tutorial stimulate interest in computational chemistry and molecular modeling?
- Does the tutorial provide a gateway to further research?
- Can the work be easily reproduced?
- Is all of the software readily available?
- Does the tutorial utilize commercial software?
- Does the tutorial require a complex installation?
